WOLEET USES THE IMMUTABILITY PROPERTY OF THE BITCOIN BLOCKCHAIN TO EASILY SECURE YOUR DATA
Data anchoring in the blockchain is using the resilience, immutability, and censorship properties of the Bitcoin blockchain to bind any type of data to a secure immutable Bitcoin transaction. It allows to obtain irrefutable and timestamped evidence of the existence of a data, independently verifiable.
Woleet allows you to do this simply by using the Web interface or through the rest API for direct integration with any type of information system.
Signature anchoring uses the Bitcoin signature system to sign data before anchoring them in the blockchain.
This signature system differs from the classic electronic signature because it does not require a certificate but only a Bitcoin address: the signee is identified by his own address that he fully controls via a hyper secured physical Bitcoin wallet.
In addition, the signatures produced are stamped and do not modify the original data, allowing the signature of the same given by several actors on different dates.
Woleet uses the Bitcoin blockchain to register the digital anchors of data. The proof format used by Woleet is Chainpoint, a protocol created in August 2015 by Shawn Wilkinson, which provides a layer of scalability for the recording of digital fingerprints in the blockchain. The aim is to build Merkle trees with multiple fingerprints to achieve scalability by consolidating fingerprints into a single bitcoin transaction.
Chainpoint is an open source proof format for interoperability with compatible systems. So whatever happens, your evidence will always be exploitable, even if Woleet was led to disappear.
In order to facilitate integration with external information systems, Woleet provides a very easy to use and well-documented REST API. Since this API is defined as a Swagger API, you can generate the client code for any programming language.
